Born and raised in the beautiful wine country in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, Ca, Tina moved to Kona, Hi with her family in 2002 and put down deep roots to the Big Island's very core. With a back ground in construction custom home building, interior design, and home staging, becoming a Realtor was a natural extension to pull all her experience together. OUR REALTOR FOR LIFE!Buying and finding a house at the top of the market was not an easy task. Tina Kitchens is absolutely wonderful to work with. She was extremely helpful, open, transparent, and reliable through the whole process. Our transaction was a little complicated than we expected and our stress level was high but she is an excellent support system. She negotiated and helped us to obtain the house of our dreams. Tina is SUPERLATIVE, SUPERLATIVE, SUPERLATIVE at what she does. "Genuine", "warm", "responsive", "assertive", "savvy", "patient", "reassuring" and "extremely competent" are other words to describe her virtues as a real estate agent. Tina was extremely patient with multiple showings, offers, and signature gatherings - most conducted with us thousands of miles apart. She demonstrated prior experience with tax situations that were as complex as mine. She coached me through the bid process to ensure my offers were the appropriate amounts. She opened up an effective channel of communication with the seller's agent to maximize my attractiveness as a buyer. She kept me on task and made sure I always knew what was coming next. Any time I had a question around a process, she could essentially walk me through the flowchart off the top of her head. She kept me positive through the painful escrow process, and would act as my advocate to mitigate problems with delays with closing. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Tina. I would recommend her to friends in all confidence.

Before we asked Tina to assist us we interviewed and briefly worked with agents on the Big Island but for some reasons of the other we never connected well enough with any of them. When we met Tina (at the time she was representing the sellers on a home were interested in) we felt the connection! She has all the attributes you could want in a real estate agent; she is well-connected, knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. When we visited the island in May Tina took us on a tour of various areas in Kona and helped us understand the nuances of each areas of the island. Our search for a home was complicated by COVID related inventory shortage which propelled prices sky high but Tina kept us on an even keel from start to finish in a gracious manner. As an added bonus, we benefited from Tina's husband who is a practicing architect on the Big Island. His trained eyes on each property we looked at was invaluable especially when future renovations and additions are in the cards. In short, my wife and I will not hesitate to ask Tina to represent us again (this time as seller's agent) when the time comes, and we would certainly not hesitate to recommend her real estate services.

Over the years, we tried but it just never worked out until we met Tina. She is so professional and she understood our feelings. She worked so hard to find the "right" property - never giving up on us. She and her team worked with us seamlessly. Now we are property owners in Hawaii and will soon be retiring there thanks to her hard work.
